The Management of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has received enquiries on the advertisement for recruitment into various vacancies in the Commission.

A statement signed by the management and posted on it site disclosed that the NCC hereby notify the general public that the advertisement video url http://report9aija.com/2017/05/20/public-notice-nigeria-communications-commission-application-form-20172018-apply-now/ is a scam.         The originators orchestrated it to take undue advantage of members of the public, it was noted.

Therefore, commissions said the general public is hereby advised to be mindful and not fall for the scam.

In the same vein, recently in May this year, an attention of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC} was drawn to the circulation of letters of award of various contracts purportedly written by the Commission’s Secretary.

The Commission categorically stated that these letters were not issued by the Commission.

“When contracts are to be awarded by the Commission, adverts are published in various newspapers, the Federal Tenders Journal and our website. The procurement process adopted by the Commission is always transparent and can be duly verified.

“The general public and corporate organisations are advised not to transact business with the unscrupulous persons issuing these fake letters and to ensure that thorough due diligence is conducted in all cases to avoid falling victim to the peddlers of these fake letters of award.

“Offers of these fake letters of award should be reported to the Commission or the Law Enforcement Agencies.

Management reiterated that any person who deals with such peddlers of fake letters does so at his/her own risk.
