EXPERTS TO X-RAY THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY AT THE 4TH ECONOMIC OUTLOOK: IMPLICATIONS FOR BUSINESSES IN NIGERIA IN 2018

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria Centre for Financial Studies (CIBNCFS) in collaboration with B. Adedipe Associates Limited (BAA) have concluded arrangements to hold a Roundtable Session on 4th Economic Outlook: Implications for Businesses in Nigeria in 2018.  The Session is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos at 8:30 a.m.

The aim of the programme is to X-ray both global and Nigerian economies in 2017; review the expectations of local businesses in 2018 vis-à-vis global economic and political developments; analyze the implications of the developing economic and political trends for key business sectors in Nigeria; discuss feasible business survival strategies; and chart practicable ways of mitigating businesses’ risks while improving performances.

To deliver the Keynote Address is Mr ’Laoye Jaiyeola, FCIB, Chief Executive Officer, The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) while Mr Tunde Lemo, OFR, FCIB, former Deputy Governor, Operations Directorate, Central Bank of Nigeria would chair the Session Some of the confirmed Panellists include Dr. Yemi Kale, Statistician General, National Bureau of Statistics; Mr Chijioke Eke, Chairman, Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited and; Mrs Nkechi Obi, Vice Executive Chairman, Techno Oil Limited.

The hosts are the President/Chairman of Council, The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Professor Segun Ajibola, Ph.D., FCIB and the Chief Consultant, B. Adedipe Associates Limited, Dr ’Biodun Adedipe, FCIB.

Expected participants at the event are staff of financial institutions (Regulatory institutions, Deposit Money Banks, Development Banks, Microfinance Banks, Insurance Companies, Capital Market Operators etc.), Academics, Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), NGOs, the Diplomatic Community and other key stakeholders in the Nigerian economy.
