President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reshuffle and posting of permanent secretaries and accounting officers, following the creation of new ministries.
During the swearing-in of new ministers on Wednesday, the President announced the creation of five new ministries. They are Ministry of Power, Ministry of Police Affairs, Ministry of Aviation, Ministry of Special Duties and International Affairs, and Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs/ Disaster Management & Social Development.
A statement from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, which was signed by the Director of Communication, Mrs Olawunmi Ogunmisunle, said a circular to the effect was signed by the HCSF, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita.
The statement said, “Further to the creation of new ministries and restructuring of some ministries by President Muhammadu Buhari, the following officers will perform the following functions of accounting officer/permanent secretary.’’
“The personnel are Mr Daudu Narai as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Special Duties; Mr Louis Edozien as Permanent secretary, Ministry of Power; Mr Mbaeri Nnamdi as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Police Affairs; Dr Mahmoud Isa-Dutse as Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance; and Dr Muhammed Dikwa as Permanent Secretary, Finance (Special Duties).
Others, according to the letter, are Mr Ernest Umakhire as Permanent Secretary, Finance (Budget and National Planning); Mrs Anagbogu Nkiruka as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs; Sabiu Zakari as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation; and Dr Mohammed Bukar as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Housing.
