In a bold convergence of business, national security, and the creative arts, SIFAX Group took centre stage as a major sponsor at the premiere of Novara, the debut feature film by the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS). The high-profile event, held on April 25, 2026, at Viva Cinemas, Jara Mall, Ikeja, Lagos, attracted an influential audience of senior government officials, maritime stakeholders, diplomats, and Nollywood figures.
The premiere marks a significant shift in institutional communication strategy, with the NCS leveraging storytelling through film to highlight the operational realities, risks, and sacrifices of its officers in combating smuggling and safeguarding Nigeria’s economic interests.
Representing SIFAX Group at the event, Mrs Ololade Dawodu, Head of Clearing and Forwarding at SIFAX Shipping, delivered a keynote remark that resonated strongly with industry players. She drew parallels between the film’s narrative and real-world operations at Tin Can Island Port, a critical hub in Nigeria’s maritime trade architecture and a focal point of SIFAX Group’s logistics operations.
Dawodu explained that while port activities may appear routine to the untrained eye, Novara exposes the complex and high-risk environment that underpins global trade flows. According to her, the film provides a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the human and operational challenges faced by customs officers daily.
“This film goes beyond entertainment. It reveals the unseen layers of risk, vigilance, and sacrifice that sustain our trade ecosystem,” she noted.
She emphasised that the film’s portrayal of loss and dedication reflects the real-life experiences of officers who stand at the frontline of Nigeria’s economic defence system. In her words, a secure maritime domain remains fundamental to national prosperity.
“At SIFAX Group, we believe that security is the backbone of commerce. Without a safe and well-protected trade environment, economic growth becomes unsustainable,” Dawodu added.
SIFAX Group’s involvement in the production received widespread commendation. The film’s producer, Agozie Ugwu, alongside Superintendent of Customs 1, Mr Okpanachi Adejoh, praised the company’s commitment, noting that its sponsorship was instrumental in delivering a production of significant scale and quality.
Industry observers at the event described the collaboration as a milestone, demonstrating how public institutions and private sector players can partner with the creative industry to reshape narratives around governance, security, and national development.
The evening concluded with strong endorsements from attendees, who applauded both the film’s storytelling depth and its broader message on the importance of security in sustaining trade and economic stability. Analysts say the initiative could open new pathways for institutional storytelling in Nigeria, particularly in sectors such as maritime, aviation, and energy.
For SIFAX Group, the sponsorship aligns with its broader corporate philosophy of supporting initiatives that strengthen Nigeria’s logistics value chain while promoting awareness around the critical role of security in trade facilitation.
About Novara
Directed by Agozie Ugwu, Novara features celebrated Nollywood actors Francis Duru and Ray Adeka. The film follows Superintendent Panshak Asiya, an undercover customs officer who infiltrates a notorious smuggling network, risking his career and personal life in the process.
Beyond its gripping action, Novara explores deeper themes of loyalty, sacrifice, faith, and the emotional toll of law enforcement duties. It shines a spotlight on the often-overlooked dangers faced by officers working tirelessly to secure Nigeria’s borders and protect its economy.
SIFAX Group backs NCS debut film Novara at Lagos premiere, highlighting the critical link between maritime security, anti-smuggling efforts, and Nigeria’s economic growth.
According to the statement the company sponsors NCS feature film Novara, spotlighting customs officers’ sacrifices and the vital role of security in Nigeria’s trade and maritime sector.

The exchange, which has since dominated online conversations, has gone beyond a personality clash to raise deeper questions about digital activism, reputational justice, verification standards, and the growing power of influencer-driven narratives in shaping public opinion.
From a Public Relations perspective, the development is being viewed as a defining moment in Nigeria’s evolving information ecosystem—where speed, emotion, and virality increasingly compete with structure, evidence, and institutional credibility.
PR EXPERTS WEIGH IN: A MULTI-ANGLE ANALYSIS
In response to questions from The Ameh News, a panel of experts offered insights into the implications of the Sowore–VDM dispute, each approaching the issue from media, economic, PR, and financial governance perspectives.
Dr Akin Olaniyan: “We are witnessing the collapse of traditional gatekeeping”
Dr Akin Olaniyan, a seasoned media specialist, digital marketer, and certified leadership coach with over 30 years of experience across newspapers and digital communication platforms, described the incident as “a structural shift in how truth is contested in Nigeria.”
According to him:
“What we are seeing is not just a disagreement between two public figures. It is the collapse of traditional gatekeeping. In the past, editorial scrutiny filtered what became public knowledge. Today, virality has replaced verification.”
He noted that while VDM represents the immediacy of digital-native activism, Sowore reflects structured civic engagement rooted in institutional accountability.
“Both models have value, but the danger arises when emotional influence replaces evidence-based communication. That is where reputational harm becomes irreversible,” he added.
Dr Olaniyan recommended that public communicators must now adopt what he called a “dual-speed PR model”—balancing rapid response with verification discipline.
Mr Celestine Ukpong: “Public perception now behaves like an economy”
Economist Mr Celestine Ukpong interpreted the dispute through the lens of behavioural economics, stating that attention has become a form of currency in Nigeria’s digital space.
“We must understand that outrage is now an economic driver. Attention is traded like currency, and controversy increases value in the attention market,” he said.
Ukpong warned that such dynamics can distort rational public judgment, especially when allegations circulate without structured validation.
“The risk is that public opinion becomes speculative, not factual. And in economics, speculation without regulation leads to instability. The same applies to information ecosystems,” he explained.
He urged regulators and media institutions to strengthen digital literacy frameworks to reduce the manipulation of public sentiment.
Dr Ejike Nduilo: “PR ethics must evolve with digital activism”
Dr Ejike Nduilo, public relations strategist and founder of Henryjvaleens, emphasised that the incident highlights an urgent need for ethical recalibration in digital communication.
He stated:
“We are in an era where anyone can become a broadcaster. That means responsibility must now be self-imposed, not institutionally enforced alone.”
Dr Nduilo stressed that while citizen journalism and digital activism have democratized voice, they have also blurred the lines between allegation and fact.
“In PR practice, we are trained to manage perception without compromising truth. The challenge today is that perception often travels faster than truth can be verified,” he said.
He recommended the introduction of “digital accountability ethics” training for influencers and online activists.
Mr Peter Adebayo (FCA): “Reputation is now a financial asset”
Financial expert and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), Mr Peter Adebayo, brought a corporate governance perspective to the discussion.
He explained that reputational damage in the digital era now carries measurable financial consequences.
“Reputation is no longer abstract. It is a balance sheet item. A viral allegation can affect investor confidence, brand valuation, and even access to credit,” he stated.
Adebayo cautioned that public figures and influencers must recognise the financial implications of unverified public claims.
“Whether it is Sowore or VDM, once your platform influences millions, your statements can move markets of perception. That power must be exercised with caution,” he added.
PR ANALYSIS: BEYOND THE PERSONALITIES
A Public Relations analysis of the situation suggests that the Sowore–VDM dispute represents a broader systemic transition:
From institution-led narrative control to influencer-led narrative construction
From delayed verification to instant publication
From editorial accountability to personal brand accountability
The Blord-related discourse has further amplified concerns about the speed at which allegations spread before legal or investigative clarity is established.
PR experts argue that the core challenge is not disagreement, but amplification without filtration.
A TURNING POINT IN DIGITAL DISCOURSE
The unfolding exchange between Sowore and VDM has become more than a personal disagreement—it is now a reference point in Nigeria’s ongoing struggle to define responsible digital communication.
As Dr Olaniyan summarised:
“This is not about who is right or wrong. It is about whether our communication culture is maturing or fragmenting.”
For PR professionals, policymakers, and digital influencers alike, the incident reinforces a central truth: in the age of instant communication, responsibility is no longer optional—it is foundational.
Public dispute between Omoyele Sowore and VeryDarkMan (VDM) over the Blord case sparks national debate on digital activism, with PR, economic, and financial experts warning about misinformation, reputational risk, and the need for responsible online communication in Nigeria’s evolving media space.

The Federal Government has announced plans to commemorate the 74th birthday of Bola Ahmed Tinubu with Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Abuja, in a move aimed at reinforcing national solidarity with citizens facing hardship.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Bernard M. Doro, disclosed that the initiative is designed to reflect the compassion-driven leadership style of President Tinubu and underscore the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance.

President Tinubu, who clocks 74 on Friday, March 29, 2026, will be honoured through a humanitarian outreach rather than a purely ceremonial celebration, a decision the Minister described as both symbolic and impactful.

According to Dr. Doro, the Ministry deliberately chose to spend the day with displaced persons as a way of drawing national attention to the plight of millions of Nigerians affected by conflict, natural disasters, and insecurity across the country.

He explained that the visit to an IDP camp in Abuja would provide an opportunity for direct engagement with displaced families, enabling government officials to share in their experiences, offer support, and strengthen trust between affected communities and public institutions.

“The decision reflects the spirit of compassion, inclusion, and service that underpins Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda. It is a reminder that governance must be people-centred, especially for those most in need,” the Minister said.

Dr. Doro further noted that the celebration aligns with the Federal Government’s broader humanitarian strategy, which focuses on improving the welfare of vulnerable populations while pursuing sustainable solutions to displacement.

He highlighted ongoing efforts by the Ministry to work with local and international partners to enhance humanitarian response systems, expand access to basic services in IDP camps, and promote long-term recovery through livelihood restoration and community reintegration programmes.

The Minister stressed that beyond immediate relief, the government remains committed to creating conditions that would enable displaced persons to return safely to their homes or rebuild their lives in stable environments.

He added that the outreach would also serve as a platform to evaluate current interventions and identify gaps in service delivery, with a view to strengthening policy implementation across affected regions.

Calling on Nigerians to embrace the spirit of the occasion, Dr. Doro urged citizens to mark the President’s birthday by extending acts of kindness to the less privileged in their communities.

“Celebrating Mr. President should go beyond well wishes. It should be an opportunity to demonstrate compassion, unity, and shared responsibility toward building a more inclusive society,” he stated.

The Minister also revealed that prayers would be offered for President Tinubu, seeking divine guidance, wisdom, and strength as he continues to lead the country through its socio-economic transformation agenda.

Observers say the planned engagement signals a shift toward more socially conscious public celebrations, where national milestones are leveraged to spotlight pressing humanitarian challenges and inspire collective action.

With millions of Nigerians still displaced due to insecurity and environmental crises, the initiative is expected to draw renewed attention to the urgent need for coordinated efforts to address displacement and support affected populations across the country.

The Federal Government will mark President Tinubu’s 74th birthday with Internally Displaced Persons in Abuja, underscoring its commitment to humanitarian support and inclusive governance.

At the prestigious Blue Economy Academy in Osborne Phase 2, Ikoyi, policymakers, maritime experts, and media professionals converged for the historic launch of Blue Economy TV (BETV), Nigeria’s first broadcast platform solely dedicated to the blue economy. The atmosphere was charged with purpose, signaling a bold shift in national thinking: the ocean is no longer just a boundary—it is a frontier of opportunity.
The initiative, championed by Ubong Essien, Founder of the Blue Economy Academy, represents years of advocacy and strategic engagement aimed at elevating discourse around Nigeria’s vast but underutilized marine resources. With his background as a maritime journalist and Certified Security Professional, Essien has consistently pushed for policies and platforms that spotlight the economic promise of Nigeria’s coastal and ocean assets.
The unveiling ceremony, coordinated by Ismail Aniemu, publisher of JournalNG Magazine, was both symbolic and strategic. It was not merely the launch of a media platform, but the birth of a new narrative—one that places maritime development at the center of Nigeria’s economic diversification agenda.
Delivering remarks as Special Guest, Emmanuel Oluwadamilola, Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on the Blue Economy, underscored the critical role of communication in driving economic transformation.
“Nations rise not only by what they build, but by how well they communicate what is possible,” he said.

https://amehnews.com/2026/03/23/historic-shift-in-nigerias-maritime-future-as-blue-economy-tv-launches-in-lagos/
He described BETV as a “voice for our waters”—a platform poised to reshape perceptions, deepen awareness, and unlock vast opportunities across multiple sectors within the maritime ecosystem.
A Strategic Turning Point
For decades, Nigeria’s economic fortunes have been tied to crude oil. Yet, beneath its waters lies a largely untapped reservoir of wealth—shipping, fisheries, marine biotechnology, offshore energy, tourism, and port infrastructure. BETV emerges as a critical tool to bridge the information gap, amplify stakeholder voices, and drive awareness around these opportunities.
Stakeholders at the event underscored that the blue economy could generate millions of jobs, boost exports, and strengthen Nigeria’s position in global maritime trade if properly harnessed. The platform is expected to serve as a catalyst—educating investors, informing policy debates, and showcasing innovations across the sector.
Beyond the Launch
Looking back, the launch of BETV may be remembered as more than a ceremonial event—it is a strategic inflection point. It reflects a growing consensus that Nigeria must look beyond land-based resources and embrace the economic potential of its waters.
From the bustling ports of Lagos to the untapped coastal corridors stretching across the nation, the message is unmistakable: the future of Nigeria’s prosperity is as much offshore as it is onshore.
In the final analysis, BETV stands as both a symbol and a tool—symbolizing a shift in mindset and serving as a vehicle to drive that transformation. If sustained with the right policies, investments, and stakeholder collaboration, this initiative could help reposition Nigeria not just as an oil giant, but as a formidable maritime powerhouse on the global stage.

Held at the Blue Economy Academy in Osborne Phase 2, Ikoyi, the high-level event brought together policymakers, maritime stakeholders, media professionals, and industry experts in what many described as a pivotal moment in Nigeria’s journey toward unlocking the vast potential of its marine and coastal resources.
The launch, which commenced promptly, was anchored by Ubong Essien, Founder of the Blue Economy Academy, a respected maritime journalist and Certified Security Professional (CSP), whose vision and leadership have been instrumental in driving conversations around ocean-based economic development in Nigeria.
The event was coordinated seamlessly by a leading maritime journalist and the publisher of JournalNG Magazine, Mr Ismail Aniemu, who ushered in the host Mr Ubong Essien and set the tone for a well-structured and impactful unveiling ceremony.
A Platform Born Out of Vision and Urgency
Blue Economy TV is an initiative of the Blue Economy Academy, an institution established to promote practical, industry-driven knowledge aimed at fostering a Nigeria that “prospers by water.”
In his opening remarks, Essien traced the journey from the establishment of the Academy to the birth of BETV, emphasizing that the platform represents a strategic convergence of education and media.
“What we are doing here today may seem small,” he noted, “but we are laying the foundation for a transformation that will shape not just Nigeria, but Africa’s economic future.”
He explained that while the maritime sector has historically supported Nigeria’s trade and oil exports, the broader blue economy offers a far more expansive ecosystem—one that includes renewable energy, aquaculture, marine technology, tourism, and blue finance.
Lagos: Ground Zero for the Blue Economy
Delivering the keynote remarks as Special Guest, Emmanuel Oluwadamilola, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on the Blue Economy, described the launch as both symbolic and transformative.
“Nations rise not only by what they build, but by how well they communicate what is possible,” he stated. “Blue Economy TV is that voice for our waters.”
He highlighted Lagos’ strategic advantage, noting that the state boasts over 180 kilometers of coastline and more than 140 kilometers of inland waterways—assets that already support over 70 percent of Nigeria’s international trade.
According to him, the initiative signals a shift in perception—from seeing water bodies as barriers to recognizing them as critical drivers of economic growth.
“Our waters are not limits; they are lifelines. Within them lie jobs for our youth, food security through fisheries, mobility through water transport, and investment opportunities across multiple sectors,” he added.
Bridging the Awareness Gap
A major thrust of BETV is to tackle what stakeholders described as “sea blindness”—a widespread lack of awareness about the economic value of Nigeria’s oceans and waterways.
Speakers stressed that despite the country’s extensive coastline stretching from Badagry to Bakassi, much of its blue economy potential remains untapped due to limited public understanding and policy focus.
BETV aims to change that narrative by providing consistent, focused, and engaging content that highlights opportunities, challenges, and innovations within the sector.
Programming a New National Conversation
The platform is set to deliver a wide range of specialized programming designed to inform, educate, and inspire action.
Among its flagship offerings are:
Blue Morning Nigeria, a daily program that mirrors national discourse through a maritime and ocean-focused lens
Watchers of the Seas, a roundtable featuring journalists analyzing developments across the blue economy
Blue Economy News, dedicated coverage of sector-specific events and trends
Documentaries on cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence in ocean monitoring, maritime security, and climate resilience
Preview clips shown at the event demonstrated how technology is reshaping ocean intelligence—from tracking illegal fishing activities to forecasting environmental risks.
“The ocean speaks in data,” one documentary narrated. “It’s time we listened—with purpose and with innovation.”
From Knowledge to Action
The launch also reinforced the mission of the Blue Economy Academy as a hub for “knowledge you can use.” The Academy’s programs are designed to equip policymakers, investors, and practitioners with actionable insights across ten key sectors, including blue commerce, finance, energy, and human capital development.
Industry collaboration remains central to this vision, with experts from law, engineering, finance, and media contributing to a multidisciplinary approach.A Call for Collective Participation
Stakeholders at the event emphasized that the success of BETV will depend on active engagement from all sectors.
“This is not just a television channel,” Essien declared. “It is a platform for practitioners, policymakers, and the media to come together and shape Nigeria’s future.”
Oluwadamilola echoed this sentiment, describing the initiative as a movement rather than a mere broadcast venture.
“This is the sound before the rain,” he said. “A signal that Lagos is ready, that Nigeria is rising, and that the blue economy is no longer an idea—it is a reality in motion.”
Looking Ahead
With plans to roll out live streaming and expand across digital and satellite platforms in the coming months, Blue Economy TV is poised to become a central voice in Africa’s blue economy landscape.
As Nigeria seeks to diversify its economy and reduce dependence on oil, initiatives like BETV could play a crucial role in unlocking new growth frontiers and repositioning the nation as a maritime powerhouse.
In the final analysis, the message from Lagos was clear: Nigeria’s future is not just on land—it is in its waters.
Nigeria launches Blue Economy TV in Lagos, marking a major milestone in maritime development as stakeholders push to unlock ocean-based opportunities and drive economic diversification.
Blue Economy TV debuts in Lagos as Nigeria’s first dedicated maritime broadcast platform, aiming to boost awareness, investment, and growth in the country’s blue economy sector.

While organizers highlighted packed concerts, overflown nightlife venues, and surging tourism inflows, no official financial disclosure has been released detailing revenues from ticket sales, sponsorships, airport operations, hospitality, and related services.
Yet, strong commercial signals from key aviation operators point to significant financial returns. Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), operators of Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), conducted a post-event strategic review in February 2026 — barely two months after the December rush. The early review, eleven months ahead of the next edition, indicates that the 2025 operations delivered measurable profitability and growth opportunities.
Speaking during the Seven Wonders of Nigeria 3.0 Zoom meeting themed “The Role Aviation Played in the Success of Detty December 2025 and Lessons Learnt,” BASL COO Mr. Tunde Jibodu stated that the experience has redefined the importance of aviation within Nigeria’s festive economy. He noted that aviation facilitated the movement of domestic and diaspora visitors, entertainers, and investors, effectively serving as a central pillar in the season’s success.
“The surge in passenger traffic, additional charter operations, and increased terminal throughput demonstrate aviation’s critical role in driving seasonal economic activity,” Jibodu said.
The forum also drew reactions from industry Stakeholder. Economist Celestine Ukpong stressed that while crowd numbers are impressive, structured reporting of economic impact is crucial for policy planning and investor confidence. “Nigeria cannot fully leverage its creative economy if revenue generation remains opaque. Transparency ensures sustainable growth and helps quantify contributions to GDP, employment, and foreign exchange,” Ukpong noted.
Similarly, financial consultant Peter Adebayo, FCA, highlighted the necessity of auditing and publishing revenue figures from such large-scale events. “The early planning by BASL suggests profits, but without verified data, stakeholders cannot assess the true economic impact. Audited disclosure will reinforce credibility and attract structured investments,” Adebayo remarked.
Industry data indicates that airlines ramped up frequencies, airport terminals operated near capacity, and non-aeronautical revenue streams such as retail concessions, parking, and logistics services saw strong performance. Observers argue that BASL’s early review demonstrates confidence in sustained seasonal growth, signaling a shift from reactive event management to strategic planning.
While operators may have realized substantial gains, experts maintain that broader financial transparency is necessary. They recommend adopting a framework that includes audited attendance numbers, gross and net revenue, sponsorship contributions, and sectoral economic impact — especially given the scale of participation in Detty December 2025.
As planning for the 2026 edition begins, stakeholders are aligning around two key priorities: scaling infrastructure to meet higher demand and instituting clear revenue disclosure mechanisms. If properly structured and documented, Detty December could solidify its status as one of Nigeria’s most measurable and bankable annual economic assets, with aviation, hospitality, entertainment, and diaspora engagement at its core.
Detty December 2025 saw record attendance, and early BASL reviews suggest strong profits. Stakeholders Celestine Ukpong and Peter Adebayo stress the need for transparent revenue disclosure to maximize economic impact.
BASL’s February review of Detty December 2025 signals profitability amid record crowds. Aviation’s role praised, but experts urge full revenue transparency to strengthen Nigeria’s festive economy.

The series premiered on February 12, 2026, and is currently airing weekly across terrestrial television, cable platforms and major digital channels nationwide.

Beyond the screen, MAGGI is marking Ramadan with several consumer-focused engagements across the country.

MultiChoice Nigeria has announced the appointment of Kemi Omotosho as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 2026, ushering in a new chapter of leadership at one of Africa’s foremost pay-TV and digital entertainment companies.
Omotosho takes over from John Ugbe, who is retiring after nearly 15 years as CEO. Ugbe’s tenure is widely regarded as transformational, marked by significant expansion of MultiChoice’s operations in Nigeria, increased investment in local content, and the successful navigation of rapid technological change and shifting consumer habits.
Leadership Transition at a Critical Time
The company described the leadership change as part of its long-term succession strategy, aimed at ensuring stability and sustained growth in a highly competitive and fast-evolving media landscape.
In her new role, Omotosho will oversee MultiChoice Nigeria’s strategic direction, daily operations, regulatory engagement, and relationships with key stakeholders. A central focus of her mandate will be strengthening local content production and supporting Nigeria’s creative economy, which remains a core pillar of the MultiChoice Group’s African growth strategy.
“It is a privilege to be entrusted with the leadership of MultiChoice Nigeria at this important moment,” Omotosho said in a statement.
“Nigeria remains one of the Group’s most strategic markets. I look forward to working with our teams and partners to deepen our relationship with consumers, champion local storytelling and the creative economy, and build a future-ready organisation that delivers sustainable value.”
Extensive Experience Across Media and Telecoms
Omotosho brings over two decades of experience across media, telecommunications, and digital services in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa. She is widely recognised for her expertise in customer value management, operational excellence, and multi-market strategy execution.
A long-serving executive within the MultiChoice Group, she previously served as Executive Head of Customer Value Management in Nigeria, before assuming the role of Group Executive Head of Customer Value Management for Rest of Africa, where she provided leadership support across more than 50 markets.
Regional Leadership and Commercial Oversight
Most recently, Omotosho was Regional Director for Southern Africa, managing a seven-country portfolio with full profit-and-loss responsibility. The role strengthened her credentials as a commercially focused leader with the ability to balance short-term performance with long-term strategic growth.
Her career began in customer service and operations at Computer Systems Associates, before moving into senior leadership positions at Airtel Nigeria, where she worked on postpaid customer retention, enterprise account management, and revenue optimisation.
Outlook for MultiChoice Nigeria
Industry observers say Omotosho’s appointment highlights MultiChoice’s commitment to local leadership and deep market understanding as Nigeria consolidates its position as a major hub for African film, television, sports, and digital content.
As the company faces increasing competition from streaming platforms and shifting consumer preferences, her leadership will be pivotal in shaping MultiChoice Nigeria’s next phase of growth, building on the foundation laid by John Ugbe while steering the business toward a more digital and consumer-centric future.

MultiChoice Nigeria appoints Kemi Omotosho as CEO from January 2026, succeeding John Ugbe after 15 years. The move signals a new leadership era for Nigeria’s leading pay-TV and digital entertainment company.

Positioned as a Detty December exclusive, The Runway Heist on Broadway reimagines the runway as a full theatrical stage, where models step beyond the traditional silent strut to embody expressive characters that drive a unified, Broadway-inspired narrative. This cinematic approach blends flamboyant metallics, fantasy aesthetics, dramatic cues, choreographed movements, and emotionally charged performances, bringing each designer’s work to life in unprecedented ways.

The evening begins with a red carpet at 5:00 PM, followed by the main runway and theatre showcase at 6:00 PM. Guests will experience a seamless transition between fashion and performance art as young creatives present bold, story-driven collections interpreted through the expressive strength of the models. The showcase culminates in an exclusive after-party, where guests are required to attend with a handheld mask, preserving the theatrical mystique of the night.

Bare Fashion Evening remains committed to championing emerging creatives, and this year’s edition amplifies that mission by positioning young designers and models at the forefront of a spectacular, narrative-led production. The event also targets a vibrant audience base that includes fashion enthusiasts, theatre lovers, students, influencers, young professionals, lifestyle creators, and supporters of Nigeria’s rising fashion talent.

Tickets for the show are available in four categories

Broadway Lane (₦25,000),

Broadway Circle (₦50,000),

Broadway Diamond (₦100,000)

Premium Broadway Lane Plus (₦50,000)

Convener Jonarry Agraka described this year’s creative direction as a bold artistic leap, emphasizing that The Runway Heist on Broadway is a deliberate reminder that fashion transcends clothing — it is expression, storytelling, and performance. He added that this edition merges fashion and theatre on one stage to celebrate creativity in its purest form. According to him, his broader vision is to create a platform where young creatives within the ecosystem can be spotlighted by both local and international talent scouts, ultimately raising a new urban phenomenon.

The Media Spokesperson further emphasized the heart of the production, stating, “Our models and designers are not just showcasing garments. They are bringing their journeys, their voices, and their art to Broadway. This edition is designed to elevate emerging talent and give audiences an immersive experience they will not forget.”

With its innovative blend of stagecraft, fashion artistry, and narrative depth, The Runway Heist on Broadway sets a new precedent for runway productions in Lagos. Bare Fashion Evening is once again pushing the boundaries of creativity, offering guests an unmissable December spectacle where style, drama, and storytelling converge under the spotlight.
