The Boeing Company, a global leader in aerospace technology, has reiterated its unwavering support for Air Peace, Nigeria’s foremost airline and the largest carrier in West Africa. This collaboration underscores Air Peace’s pivotal role in advancing the aviation industry in Nigeria and beyond.
Harry Magui, Senior Organisational Consultant and Programme Manager at Boeing Global Learning Institute, highlighted Boeing’s commitment during a recent visit to Air Peace by a delegation from The Boeing Company and Cranfield University. The visit included a five-day, in-person training program designed to enhance safety culture and operational excellence within Air Peace.
“Air Peace has been exceptional in driving growth within Nigeria’s aviation industry. Through this Advanced Leadership in Safety Excellence Training, we aim to empower its top leadership to seize future opportunities,” Magui stated. He emphasized that safety is the cornerstone of aviation, noting, “Without safety, there can be no business in this sector. It’s a critical metric for airlines, regulators, and passengers alike.” He assured that Boeing would continue to collaborate with Air Peace in areas such as psychological safety, change management, crisis response, and fostering a “just culture” within the organization.
Harrison Debrah, representing Boeing’s Global Safety & Regulatory Affairs division, praised Air Peace for its remarkable achievements in a short span. He affirmed that the airline remains integral to Boeing’s vision for Nigeria and commended Dr. Allen Onyema, Air Peace’s Chairman/CEO, for his determination and dedication to excellence.
Dr. Fabian Steinmann, a Lecturer in Organisational Resilience and Change at Cranfield School of Management, described the training initiative as an opportunity to exchange global best practices and insights. “We’re thrilled to be in Lagos, delivering this course to Air Peace shortly after their 10th anniversary. Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and this collaboration allows us to learn more about Air Peace’s operations and contribute to making their systems even more robust and adaptable,” Steinmann explained.

In his response, Dr. Allen Onyema expressed gratitude for the partnership and reaffirmed Air Peace’s commitment to safety. “At Air Peace, safety is the foundation of all our operations. We’ve implemented a system of checks and balances and adopted a non-punitive reporting approach, reflecting our dedication to a Just Culture,” Onyema stated. He revealed his personal trust in the airline, sharing that he exclusively flies Air Peace due to its impeccable safety and maintenance standards.
