This milestone underscores NAE’s commitment to fostering local partnerships focused on safety and operational excellence, driving greater Nigerian participation in the energy sector.
Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited (NAE), a subsidiary of Eni, and STAC Marine have marked the successful completion of one year of partnership in the operation and maintenance of Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facilities at the ABO field offshore deepwater.
In 2023, STAC Marine assumed responsibility for managing the FPSO after years of operation under an international contractor. Since November 2024, STAC has demonstrated outstanding operational efficiency, maintaining a safe and smooth operation over the past year.
To reinforce this success and further cement their commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices, NAE and STAC signed the “Pact for Safety and Environment.” This initiative, developed by Eni’s Safety Competency Centre, emphasizes the importance of the human factor in maintaining a safe and dependable work environment. The agreement, signed by top management from both companies, is a significant step towards Eni’s goal of Zero Incidents, aiming to elevate safety standards across operations.
Eni has been a prominent player in Nigeria’s energy sector since 1962, with an extensive portfolio in hydrocarbon exploration and production. Through its subsidiaries, NAE and Agip Energy Natural Resources Nigeria (AENR), as well as its stake in Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG), Eni continues to drive local participation and sustainable growth in the Nigerian energy industry.
