This unprecedented partnership was solidified during a recent courtesy visit by Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff, to the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo (SAN), in Abuja.

Prior to the meeting, the Nigerian Air Force had been planning its own independent air show, unaware that the Ministry had a similar initiative in the pipeline. Recognizing the potential for a more impactful event through collaboration, Air Marshal Abubakar proposed the idea of a joint partnership. His foresight was rooted in the belief that combining the resources, expertise, and influence of both institutions would not only boost the event’s global appeal but also strengthen Nigeria’s position on the international aviation stage.

The Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, praised the decision to collaborate, emphasizing that this partnership was a critical step toward showcasing Nigeria’s growing capabilities in aviation and aerospace. He underscored the importance of synergy between the Ministry and the Nigerian Air Force, noting that it would provide a platform for global players in aviation and aerospace to explore cutting-edge technologies, forge new partnerships, and discuss opportunities for advancing Nigeria’s aviation sector.

The 2025 Nigeria International Air Show is expected to attract manufacturers, investors, regulators, and aviation enthusiasts from across the globe. With expert insights, case studies, and the latest technological innovations on display, the event will be a key moment for Nigeria’s aviation future, marking a pivotal milestone in the country’s ambition to become a leading force in the global aviation and aerospace industry.
