The African Women Sustainability Conference 2024 is set to break barriers and redefine the green economy landscape across Africa. Scheduled for December 11-12 in Abuja, Nigeria, this transformative event is spearheaded by ImpactHER in collaboration with the African Union and the United States Department of Commerce, with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as the host.

Under the theme “Igniting Africa’s Green Revolution: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs as Catalysts for Sustainable Growth and Unlocking Access to Eco-Financing,” the conference seeks to empower women-led businesses, bridge the gap in green financing, and highlight the indispensable role women play in sustainable development.

“This is more than a conference—it’s a turning point for Africa’s women entrepreneurs,” said Efe Ukala, Founder of ImpactHER. “Our goal is to unlock millions of dollars in eco-financing by 2026 while positioning women as central drivers of Africa’s sustainable future.”

The event will gather leaders from over 10 countries, including ministers from Chad, Liberia, Malawi, Benin, Zambia, Uganda, Cameroon, The Gambia, Nigeria, and Kenya. Representatives from global financial institutions and the U.S. Department of Commerce will join forces with visionary women entrepreneurs to address eco-financing challenges and sustainable growth opportunities.

Key features of the two-day conference include:

Executive roundtables: Engaging discussions between government ministers and international investors.

Intensive workshops: Training sessions on green business certification and eco-financing strategies.

Pitch competition: A platform for innovative green businesses to showcase their ideas and secure funding.

Interactive exhibitions: Displays of successful sustainable business models from across Africa.

Strategic partners such as ToolUP Foundation (an Emmanuel C. Ukala Foundation initiative) and ARUWA Capital will further bolster the event’s impact.

This landmark initiative underscores Africa’s commitment to a sustainable future by fostering collaboration between policymakers, financiers, and entrepreneurs. For more details, visit www.greenconference.impacthertraining.org.
