Air Peace Limited has strongly refuted viral claims on social media alleging that one of its aircraft crashed in the Western Sahara region, resulting in fatalities, including the death of a prominent individual. The airline has labeled these reports as entirely false and malicious.
In a statement released by Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, Head of Corporate Communications for Air Peace, the company emphasized that the claims are baseless and part of a deliberate campaign to spread misinformation and tarnish the airline’s impeccable safety record.
“This is a deliberate attempt to spread falsehood and damage the reputation of Air Peace,” said Dr. Ndiulo. “The author of this post has a history of fabricating and disseminating alarming stories about non-existent tragic events.”
The statement further clarified that the images accompanying the false reports were AI-generated and bore no connection to any real incident involving the airline.
Air Peace urged the public to disregard these malicious reports and rely solely on official communication channels for accurate information regarding its operations.
“Air Peace remains committed to upholding the highest safety standards for all our flights. Safety is not just a priority for us; it is the foundation upon which we operate,” Dr. Ndiulo reassured.
The airline also reaffirmed its dedication to the safety and well-being of its passengers and crew, urging the public to avoid amplifying such harmful misinformation.
