……..Targets N300 Billion Revenue by 2029
West Africa’s foremost ground handling service provider, NAHCO Aviance, has solidified its market leadership by extending handling contracts with three major international carriers—Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, and Turkish Airlines. These contract renewals signify a milestone for NAHCO, aligning with its ambitious goal of achieving a revenue target of N300 billion by 2029.
The announcement was made at the company’s recent Facts Behind the Figures presentation at the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), underscoring NAHCO’s commitment to maintaining its dominant position in the aviation ground handling sector.
Emirates, which resumed scheduled flight operations to Nigeria in October, reaffirmed its trust in NAHCO by renewing its ground handling contract for the next five years. Similarly, Virgin Atlantic, known for its longstanding partnership with NAHCO, continues to rely on the company for seamless service delivery. Turkish Airlines, a partner for several years, also renewed its agreement, cementing NAHCO’s role as a trusted ground-handling provider in Nigeria and beyond.
Speaking on the contract extensions, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NAHCO Plc, Mr. Indranil Gupta, expressed optimism about the company’s future. “For 45 years, NAHCO has been the leader in ground handling services in Nigeria and the entire West African region. We remain committed to setting the standard, satisfying our clients, and delighting our shareholders. This is a promise we intend to keep,” he affirmed.
Mr. Gupta also reiterated NAHCO’s determination to achieve its revenue projection, emphasizing ongoing investments in equipment upgrades and staff training. “We are fully committed to meeting our obligations to clients while pursuing our ambitious revenue targets,” he added.
Echoing this sentiment, Prince Saheed Lasisi, Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development, described the renewed contracts as a testament to NAHCO’s excellence. “These extensions highlight the trust that leading airlines place in us. We are delighted and will continue to exceed their expectations, ensuring that they remain the most satisfied airlines operating in and out of Nigeria,” he stated.
Lasisi further emphasized the strategic importance of these relationships. “For any airline to maintain its top-tier position, it must rely on a ground handler that guarantees superior service delivery. NAHCO is proud to be that partner for these prestigious carriers,” he concluded.
With its robust portfolio and continued investments, NAHCO is poised to sustain its leadership in ground handling services while driving significant economic impact in Nigeria and West Africa.
