In a strategic engagement held today at the AMJON Secretariat in Apapa, Lagos, Vindi Petroleum Executive Chairman Victor Kalu met with members of the Association of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria (AMJON) to seek media partnership in addressing Nigeria’s fuel scarcity challenges. Kalu unveiled the company’s innovative solution, tagged ‘Fuel Yapa,’ aimed at revolutionizing fuel accessibility nationwide.
During the session, AMJON President Mr. Kelvin Kagbare welcomed Kalu with his team and encouraged him to engage freely with journalists from various media houses. “Feel free to share your plans, as these journalists are here to ensure the message reaches the public effectively,” Kagbare said.
Victor Kalu wasted no time in outlining the transformative potential of ‘Fuel Yapa,’ a platform that enables individuals and groups to order fuel using their mobile phones and pick it up at designated stations across the country. He emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to provide a sustainable solution to the perennial fuel distribution problem.
“We are solving the fuel scarcity challenge with ‘Fuel Yapa,’ which makes fuel ordering seamless and convenient for everyone. This is more than a business solution; it is a commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians,” Kalu stated.
The AMJON journalists commended Kalu’s vision, acknowledging the critical role ‘Fuel Yapa’ could play in addressing inefficiencies in fuel distribution and ensuring transparency in the downstream sector. They pledged their support in amplifying the message to ensure widespread adoption of the platform.
With ‘Fuel Yapa,’ Vindi Petroleum is not just addressing a national challenge but also setting a precedent for the role of innovation in driving sustainable development.
