The Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) is set to host the 2025 World Consumer Rights Day celebration, bringing together leading voices in sustainability to champion consumer rights and advocate for a just transition to sustainable lifestyles.
Renowned sustainability expert and CEO of Kratos Sustainability Consults, Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan, will deliver the keynote address at the event, scheduled for March 14, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, by 10 a.m.
Themed “A Just Transition to Sustainable Lifestyles,” this year’s edition aims to deepen discussions on the role of consumers in promoting sustainability while addressing challenges unique to Nigeria’s consumer landscape.
Joining Victor-Laniyan as guest discussants are Victoria Uwadoka, Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability Lead at Nestlé Nigeria, and Bankole Oloruntoba, CEO of Climate Change Nigeria (CIC), alongside other industry experts.
Speaking on the significance of the event, Chairman of BJAN, Daniel Obi, stated, “We are honored to have distinguished experts lead conversations on sustainability and consumer rights. Their insights will be instrumental in shaping policies and fostering responsible consumer behavior.”
BJAN invites industry stakeholders, policymakers, and the general public to participate in this crucial dialogue as the world moves toward more sustainable consumption patterns.
