United Capital Infrastructure Fund (UCIF), a key player in infrastructure financing under the United Capital Plc umbrella, has reinforced its reputation as a high-performing investment vehicle with a total dividend payout of N1.98 billion to unitholders for the year ended 2024.

Reflecting on this milestone, UCIF maintained its bi-annual distribution structure, disbursing N769 million in the first half of 2024 and N1.21 billion in the second half. This consistent payout structure highlights the fund’s commitment to rewarding investors while financing transformative projects across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.

A Testament to Strong Performance
The fund achieved a gross return of 23.08%, a significant leap from previous years, with revenues surging 150% from N791 million in 2023 to N1.9 billion in 2024. This outstanding performance underscores the resilience of UCIF’s investment strategy, balancing profitability with impact-driven financing in critical sectors such as recycling, renewable energy, power, agriculture, and telecoms.

Chief Investment Officer and Fund Manager, UcheNna Mkparu, attributed this success to strict governance, adherence to investment policies, and strategic project selections. “Our goal is to deliver strong returns while supporting high-impact infrastructure projects that contribute to Nigeria and Africa’s sustainable development. As we move forward, we will continue prioritizing investments that align with our mission of fostering long-term economic growth,” he stated.

Driving Sustainable Infrastructure Growth
With a N150 billion fund size, UCIF remains a pivotal force in addressing Nigeria’s infrastructure deficit. The fund actively finances projects in agribusiness, gas infrastructure, gas-to-power, healthcare, and manufacturing, ensuring that each investment contributes to economic expansion and job creation.

As UCIF looks ahead, its strategic focus remains on sustainable, high-yield infrastructure investments, strengthening investor confidence while positioning itself as a leader in Africa’s infrastructure financing landscape.
