As the world gears up for the 2025 World Consumer Rights Day, the Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) is set to host an insightful forum addressing consumer challenges and the push for sustainability.
Renowned sustainability advocate Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan, CEO of Kratos Sustainability Consults, will headline the event as the keynote speaker, delivering insights on this year’s theme: “A Just Transition to Sustainable Lifestyles.” The event is scheduled for March 14, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, by 10 a.m.
Consumer rights remain a crucial conversation globally, and BJAN’s annual commemoration aims to deepen discussions on the pressing issues affecting Nigerian consumers. This year’s theme emphasizes the urgent need for sustainable living and ethical consumption.
Adding to the discourse are distinguished guest panelists, including:
- Victoria Uwadoka, Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability Lead, Nestlé Nigeria
- Bankole Oloruntoba, CEO, Climate Change Nigeria (CIC)
- Other key sustainability experts
BJAN Chairman, Daniel Obi, highlighted the significance of the event, stating: “We are excited to have industry leaders share their expertise. Their insights will be invaluable in promoting sustainable lifestyles and protecting consumer rights.”
The event is open to the public, and BJAN invites all stakeholders—including consumers, industry professionals, and policymakers—to engage in this critical conversation on sustainable development and consumer rights.
