Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to wildlife conservation, ensuring a sustainable future where nature and people coexist harmoniously. In partnership with the Nigerian Conservation Centre (NCC), NLNG continues to safeguard Finima Nature Park, a 1,000-hectare ecological sanctuary teeming with diverse wildlife and rich biodiversity.

Nestled in the heart of Bonny Island, Finima Nature Park serves as a critical habitat for some of Nigeria’s most remarkable species, including the agile Mona Monkey, known for its swift leaps across treetops, and the elusive Nile Crocodile, a guardian of the wetland ecosystem. By preserving this natural fortress, NLNG plays a pivotal role in maintaining ecological balance, fostering environmental awareness, and empowering local communities.

Investing in Conservation for a Sustainable Future

This year’s World Wildlife Day theme, “Wildlife Conservation Finance: Investing in People and Planet,” highlights the pressing need for sustained investment in conservation efforts. Strengthening ecosystems, protecting biodiversity, and supporting communities require long-term dedication and strategic funding.

NLNG recognizes that wildlife conservation is not just about protecting animals but about securing livelihoods, mitigating climate change, and fostering a resilient environment for future generations. By continuously funding the preservation of natural habitats, NLNG is actively shaping a future where both nature and people thrive.

As the world unites to celebrate #WorldWildlifeDay2025, NLNG calls for collective action to #InvestInNature and safeguard Nigeria’s rich biodiversity for generations to come.
