Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will deliver the keynote address at the highly anticipated 10th edition of Agrofood & Plastprintpack Nigeria, underscoring the State’s commitment to food security, trade expansion, and industrial growth.
The premier international trade exhibition and conference will run from March 25 to 27, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos, bringing together over 110 exhibitors from 13 countries. The event will serve as a catalyst for industrial advancement, showcasing cutting-edge innovations in agriculture, food processing, plastics, printing, and packaging technology.
Lagos: A Hub for Industrial Growth and Investment
As Africa’s fastest-growing megacity and fifth-largest economy, Lagos remains a focal point for industrialization and trade development. Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration has been at the forefront of policies driving investment, innovation, and job creation in agriculture and manufacturing.
Odion Aleobua, CEO of Modion Communications (Nigerian partners for Agrofood & Plastprintpack Nigeria), highlighted Nigeria’s growing investment in food processing and packaging technology, which reached €304 million in 2023—second only to South Africa—along with €134 million in plastics technology. He noted that the trade fair will provide stakeholders with tools to scale operations and adopt sustainable solutions.
Through strategic partnerships, infrastructure development, and business-friendly policies, Lagos is positioning itself as a top destination for investors in agriculture, manufacturing, and sustainable packaging. The State’s initiatives support local food production while enhancing logistics and industrial capacity to attract global and domestic investors.
