As momentum builds toward the 2025 edition of the Annual Brands and Marketing Conference, the Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) has intensified its stakeholder engagement efforts. On Tuesday, a delegation from the BJAN Executive Council paid a courtesy visit to the corporate headquarters of MTN Nigeria, where they were warmly received by Mr. Funsho Aina, the Senior Manager of External Relations.

The visit, a key part of BJAN’s strategic outreach programme, focused on fostering long-term collaboration between the association and the telecommunications giant. Discussions during the meeting centred on aligning mutual interests, unlocking partnership opportunities, and galvanizing industry support ahead of the high-profile conference slated for November.

According to members of the BJAN exco, the engagement with MTN marks a significant step toward reinforcing the association’s mission of deepening industry discourse and highlighting the pivotal role of brand journalism in national development.

Mr. Funsho Aina, in his remarks, commended BJAN for its proactive approach and reaffirmed MTN’s commitment to supporting initiatives that advance the branding and marketing ecosystem in Nigeria. He emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue between media professionals and corporate stakeholders in navigating the evolving communications landscape.

The fruitful exchange concluded with a renewed sense of collaboration, with both parties expressing optimism about future engagements and the collective goal of elevating Nigeria’s brand and marketing narrative on a global stage.
