Keynote address will be delivered by Mr. Johnson Chukwu, Managing Director of Cowry Asset Management Limited, a respected voice in Nigeria’s financial markets.

Special Guests of Honour include Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, Commissioner for Insurance at the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), and Mrs. Omolola Oloworaran, Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom).

Alhaji Kwairanga brings nearly two decades of top-level experience in the capital market, banking, and real sector to the table. Holding undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in business administration, corporate governance, and finance, he is also an alumnus of globally-renowned institutions such as Harvard Business School, Wharton Business School, and the New York Institute of Finance.

Additionally, he serves as Chairman of Penman PFA Ltd and President of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria.

Under his leadership at Ashaka Cement Plc, the company’s performance improved significantly, with notable contributions to Gombe State’s economy through tax compliance and community engagement.

According to Ngozi Onyeakusi, Publisher of SUPERNEWS Nigeria and convener of the event, Alhaji Kwairanga’s vast knowledge and experience made him an ideal choice to chair the conference, particularly as the sector navigates the disruptive opportunities AI presents.

A key highlight of the conference will be a robust panel session featuring leading industry experts such as Mrs. Adeolu Adewumi-Zer, Founder/CEO of ZER Consulting Africa; Mrs. Thaibat Adeniran, former MD of Hilal Takaful Insurance Ltd; Dr. Uju Ogubunka, National President of the Bank Customers Association of Nigeria (BCAN); and Mr. Ayokunle Olubunmi, Head of Financial Institutions Ratings at Augusto & Co.

The conference aims to bring together regulators, stakeholders in the financial services and ICT sectors, informal business operators, and small business owners to explore how AI can drive operational efficiency, reduce costs, and expand access to financial services.

Onyeakusi emphasized that AI, which generated an estimated $3.9 trillion in global business value in 2022 (up from $1.2 trillion in 2018), holds immense potential to deepen financial inclusion and bring services closer to the underserved.

This year’s event promises to be a transformative platform to expand understanding of AI’s role in delivering smarter, faster, and more inclusive financial services across banking, insurance, pensions, and the capital market.
