TIN CAN CUSTOM COMMAND SET TO CLEAR CARGOES IN TWO HOURS

The Nigeria customs service, Tin Can island command has reiterated its commitment to reduce cargo clearance in its domain to less than two hours as soon as B’ODOGWU systems come to its full implementation.
Addressing some journalists on Thursday in Lagos, the Custom Controller of the command, Frank Onyeka assured that the application is glitch free, and therefore will ease any difficulties arising from cargo clearance as well as aid trade facilitation. The Controller therefore solicited the cooperation of clearing agents and importers to be honest in their declarations. In his words ‘ when B’ODOGWU comes to Tin Can, and you declare appropriately, you can move your goods in two hours, because B’ODOGWU is ours , B’ODOGWU is fresh, B’ODOGWU is network glitch free ” he noted. He informed that the command is already engaged in sensitization of stakeholders as well as training of its personnel .
He further informed that the command has generated an impressive N145 billions in revenue in the month of April 2025, representing a significant increase from N95.7 billions collected in the same period 2024. He further disclosed that the command has already generated N27 billion in revenue in the month of May 2025.
