Emirates Airlines has announced plans to hire more than 1,500 new pilots over the next two years, as the Dubai-based carrier accelerates its fleet expansion and increases global route coverage.
The recruitment drive, which spans multiple continents, will support the airline’s growing operations, particularly with the addition of new aircraft including the Airbus A350s and Boeing 777-9s. Emirates says the new hires will be instrumental in maintaining its operational efficiency and industry-leading service standards.
As part of the initiative, Emirates is offering experienced pilots a fast-track pathway to captaincy, a rare opportunity in the current aviation landscape. The airline is also extending a competitive benefits package that includes tax-free salaries, high-quality accommodation, generous travel perks, and family support allowances.
“This recruitment campaign is not just about numbers—it’s about securing world-class talent to power the next chapter of Emirates’ growth,” the airline said in a statement. “We are investing in people who will fly some of the most modern aircraft in the skies and serve a global customer base.”
The move comes as Emirates rebounds strongly from the COVID-19 pandemic, during which global aviation saw unprecedented disruption. Since resuming full-scale operations, the airline has steadily rebuilt its network and is now focused on meeting increased demand for international travel.
Founded in 1985 with just two leased aircraft, Emirates has grown into one of the world’s largest and most respected international carriers, known for its wide-body-only fleet and long-haul expertise. The airline currently operates flights to over 130 destinations across six continents.
Analysts view the pilot recruitment campaign as a signal of broader confidence in the aviation sector’s recovery and a strategic move to future-proof Emirates’ operations amid growing global travel demand.
Qualified pilots interested in joining the airline can apply through Emirates’ official careers portal, with assessments and onboarding set to take place in key aviation hubs worldwide.
