In a bold demonstration of its commitment to inclusivity and child-focused advocacy, Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace, sponsored and actively participated in two Children’s Day events in Lagos — the Parkland Amusement Center Children’s Fiesta and the Raising Star’s This Ability 4.0. The dual celebrations were aimed at creating safe, joyful, and inclusive spaces for all children, regardless of background or ability.

At the Parkland Amusement Park, the airline sponsored 40 children from underprivileged schools to partake in a vibrant fiesta that featured games, entertainment, and refreshments. The event brought together children from diverse communities for a day of shared experiences and unity.

Air Peace joined other notable brands such as Chocolate City, Mavin Records, and Ryno Auto in supporting the celebration, but distinguished itself with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusion.

Simultaneously, the airline extended its social impact reach by supporting This Ability 4.0, an annual event organized by Raising Star Africa, which celebrates the creativity and talents of children living with disabilities. Held at The Darlington Hall in Ilupeju, Lagos, this year’s edition carried the theme, “Empowering Every Voice.”

Activities at the event included an art exhibition, fashion and music showcases, an inclusive dance competition, and training sessions for parents, educators, and disability advocates. Grants were also awarded to youth-led SMEs and young adults with disabilities, supporting long-term empowerment.

Dignitaries in attendance included Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, and actress Juliana Olayode. Corporate sponsors featured prominent institutions such as the Aliko Dangote Foundation, MILO, BIC Nigeria, IHS, NNPC, Supreme Foods, and Maltina.

As part of its engagement, Air Peace presented a cash prize to the winner of the talent showcase and delivered a goodwill message reaffirming its support for equity and inclusive development.

Speaking at both events, Air Peace Head of Marketing, Mr. Ikenna Nnabuife, said the airline’s participation was rooted in a belief that all children deserve the opportunity to thrive.

“We believe that every child, regardless of background or ability, holds immense potential,” Nnabuife said. “By supporting events like these, we’re reinforcing our vision of a society where every young voice matters, every talent is celebrated, and no child is left behind.”

While Air Peace Chairman, Dr. Allen Ifechukwu Onyema, did not attend the events physically, he issued a heartfelt message highlighting the significance of the airline’s involvement.

“Children are the soul of any nation’s future. At Air Peace, we recognize that investing in their joy, dignity, and sense of belonging is one of the highest callings of corporate citizenship,” Onyema said. “Our support for both mainstream and inclusive Children’s Day events is driven by the belief that true greatness lies in uplifting the vulnerable and empowering the gifted.”

Air Peace’s dual sponsorship underscores its broader mission beyond aviation — one of community development, compassion, and national growth. The airline continues to set a benchmark in corporate social responsibility, leveraging its brand to elevate lives and build a more inclusive future
