Fidelity Bank CEO Celebrates Children’s Day with SWEETA Kids in Lagos

 Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank Plc, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, on Monday, May 27, led the bank’s annual Children’s Day celebration tagged Fidelity Fantasyland, a colourful and engaging event held at the Fidelity Grounds in Oniru, Lagos.

The celebration, which brought together hundreds of children under the bank’s SWEETA initiative, featured a range of fun and educational activities designed to promote creativity, confidence, and early financial literacy.

Flanked by excited SWEETA kids, Dr. Onyeali-Ikpe interacted with children, parents, and educators, reaffirming Fidelity Bank’s commitment to supporting the next generation through purposeful engagement and financial empowerment.

“At Fidelity Bank, we understand that building a brighter future begins with investing in children today. Through our SWEETA account and events like Fidelity Fantasyland, we aim to foster savings habits early and give children a head start in understanding the value of money,” she said.

The SWEETA account is Fidelity Bank’s savings product tailored for children, offering features such as interest on savings, educational support, and co-management by parents. Monday’s event included interactive sessions on financial basics, talent showcases, games, and competitions, with winners receiving prizes and gift items.

This year’s edition also introduced a tech corner where children explored educational tools and gamified learning apps that teach budgeting, saving, and entrepreneurship in a simplified format.

The celebration concluded with a group photograph of Dr. Onyeali-Ikpe and the SWEETA kids, capturing the essence of a day marked by joy, learning, and shared experiences.

Fidelity Fantasyland has become one of the standout Children’s Day events in Lagos, reinforcing the bank’s broader social commitment to education and youth development.
