Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has paid tribute to His Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, Edward I, Perekule XI, DSSRS, CON, JP, Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of the Ancient Grand Bonny Kingdom, as he marks his 60th birthday.
In a statement released by the company, NLNG described the milestone as an opportunity to honour a life defined by visionary leadership, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to the progress of Bonny Kingdom and its people.
“Under His Majesty’s reign, Bonny Kingdom has remained a bastion of stability and a trusted partner in development,” the statement read. “This environment of peace and collaboration has supported NLNG’s operations on Bonny Island for more than two decades.”
NLNG praised King Edward for fostering a climate of mutual respect and cooperation that has enabled the company to thrive, while also contributing to the socioeconomic development of the region.
The company joined the people of Bonny Kingdom, the Niger Delta, and Nigerians across the country in celebrating the monarch’s contributions to unity, cultural heritage, and community advancement.
“As His Majesty turns 60, we wish him continued grace, strength, and fulfilment in the years ahead,” the statement concluded.
King Edward Asimini Pepple III ascended the throne as the 11th monarch in the Perekule royal line, and has served as a symbol of continuity and leadership in the historic island kingdom.
