The chairman of the Corporate Affairs Managers of the Nigerian Insurance Association (CAMCONIA), Segun Bankole, has called on communication heads across the industry to be fully involved in the maiden Insurance Week, scheduled to hold from June 27 to July 4, 2025.

Bankole made the appeal during CAMCONIA’s monthly meeting, stating that Insurance Week — themed “Insurance for All: Securing Nigeria’s Future” — presents a pivotal opportunity for insurers to demonstrate their growing role in securing financial stability for all Nigerians, wherever they may be.

President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Mrs. Yetunde Ilori, explained that Insurance Week is an industry-wide initiative designed to promote awareness, foster stakeholder engagement, and enable collaboration across the sector. According to Ilori, the week-long event will be filled with activities aimed at strengthening visibility, educating the public on the benefits of insurance, and advancing professional growth for practitioners.

Ilori stressed that this event marks a turning point for the industry — a moment when insurers can collectively make a powerful, enduring imprint on policyholders, stakeholders, and the general public.

The chairman of the organizing committee and former CIIN President, Mr. Eddie Efekoha, said extensive care and rigorous preparation had gone into designing a platform that will foster greater engagement, loyalty, and sustained patronage for the industry in the months and years to come.

Bankole also challenged communication heads and corporate affairs managers to be “proactive and conscious” in their participation in Insurance Week. He encouraged companies to leverage the platform to showcase their unique brands, highlight their respective services, and collectively contribute to growing the industry’s visibility — both nationally and across borders.
