After two years in the saddle, Maritime Stakeholder has extolled the achievement of Custom Controller General describing it as unparalleled in the history of not only the Custom service but the entire Maritime sector and therefore commended the number citizen of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his foresight in appointing Adeniyi to supretend the affairs of the organization .They describes his appointment as God sent to the Nigeria customs service especially at this point in time. Speaking to our correspondent, the MD/CEO Odest Recourse Global, one of the critical stakeholder in the industry described his appointment as round peg in a round hole,” his appointment is well deserved and still well deserved ” he added..” he is coming from a background that i don’t think any former CG emerged from, if you look at his background, he was a PRO per excellence therefore public Relation is not a challenge to him., so he knows how to interact and how to navigate and synergise with other sister agencies to enhance performance, so when you marry all these things together you know that he has a lot of experience iin the Nigeria Customs service, his interfaces with freight forwarders and regulators is topnotch , he has a robust revenue plan and successfully keyed in into the federal government treasury single account for seamless revenue collection, i think he is God sent to the Service” he said.
He also praised his efforts in the fight against smuggling thereby raising the bar in revenue generation in the service while acknowledging innovations such as B’ODOGWU and other platforms created to enhance seamless performance in the sector under his watch.
