Nestlé’s Peggy Diby Highlights Dairy’s Role in Lifelong Nutrition, Unveils Affordable Solutions at Global Dairy Congress

Nestlé executive Peggy Diby has called for wider access to affordable and sustainable nutrition, highlighting dairy’s critical role in supporting health across all life stages. Speaking at the 2025 Global Dairy Congress in Amsterdam, Diby, who serves as Global Head of Corporate Affairs & Internal Engagement at Nestlé Nutrition Business, shared insights on how the company is using innovation to tackle nutritional gaps in vulnerable communities.

In her address, Diby emphasized that access to nutritious food remains a challenge for many around the world. She pointed to Nestlé’s efforts to develop affordable solutions that combine dairy with plant-based proteins—products already making an impact in markets like the Philippines and Nigeria.

“Through our proprietary technologies, we are scaling affordable nutrition for those who need it most,” she said.

Diby also highlighted Nestlé’s commitment to sustainability through its Dairy Climate Plan, which focuses on responsible sourcing of quality milk and milk derivatives. She noted that this end-to-end approach aims to create shared value not only for consumers but also for farmers, communities, industry players, and the environment.

“Our long-term ability to deliver nutrition depends on sustainable milk production practices that protect our planet while supporting the livelihoods of farmers,” she added.

The Global Dairy Congress brought together industry experts, researchers, and leaders to discuss emerging trends and solutions in dairy nutrition. Diby expressed gratitude for the collaborative spirit at the event and credited her colleague Brenda Clery for her vital contributions to Nestlé’s work in nutrition and sustainability.

The session reinforced the growing importance of public-private partnerships and industry collaboration in advancing global health through accessible, climate-smart food systems.
