Fidelity Bank to Digitally Empower 100 SMEs with Free Tools and Training Nationwide

Fidelity Bank Plc, one of Nigeria’s leading commercial banks, has unveiled a bold initiative to empower 100 small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) across the country with cutting-edge digital tools, reaffirming its commitment to driving digital transformation and sustainable business growth in the sector.

Through its flagship Fidelity SME Empowerment Program (FSEP), the bank is set to equip 100 growth-ready entrepreneurs with a comprehensive digital toolkit designed to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and ensure business sustainability. The toolkit includes a POS desktop system, ERPRev business management software, a receipt printer and barcode scanner, inventory and management tools, branded POS terminal with onboarding assistance, and ongoing business training and support.

Speaking on the initiative, Osita Ede, Divisional Head of Product Development at Fidelity Bank Plc, said:

The empowerment initiative is part of the bank’s activities to mark World SME Day 2025. As part of the celebration, Fidelity Bank granted free access to its SME Hub in Gbagada, Lagos, and hosted a high-impact mentoring session specifically for female entrepreneurs. The session was led by the bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, underscoring the bank’s gender-inclusive approach to enterprise development.

Fidelity Bank’s ongoing efforts to support SMEs include regular masterclasses, access to funding, and strategic partnerships that enhance market access and financial literacy for business owners. These interventions are helping to build a more resilient and digitally savvy SME ecosystem across Nigeria.
