The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd, Engr. Bayo Ojulari, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources have praised Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) for its vital role in shaping the country’s energy future.
During a visit to the NLNG Plant in Bonny, Ojulari described the company as “a beacon of governance, performance, transparency, and sustainability.” He said the tour allowed for direct engagement with the NLNG team, review of operations, and identification of new opportunities to improve plant performance and increase national revenue.
He reaffirmed NNPC Ltd’s commitment as a shareholder, unveiling plans for a Master Gas Plan and potential hydrogen collaborations with NLNG to support Nigeria’s net-zero ambitions.
The Permanent Secretary highlighted NLNG’s strategic importance, particularly the Train 7 project, in boosting exports and strengthening the economy. He stressed the need for asset integrity and zero emissions across the gas supply chain, noting that NLNG’s operational excellence is a source of national pride.
