Pernod Ricard Nigeria, a unit of French spirits giant Pernod Ricard Group, has reaffirmed its commitment to Nigeria’s economic growth as the country celebrates 65 years of independence.

Managing Director Michael Ehindero said the company will continue investing in local communities, job creation, and initiatives that support responsible drinking, while strengthening its role in Nigeria’s social and cultural life.

“Independence Day is a moment to celebrate resilience and progress. As we toast to 65 years, we remain dedicated to supporting Nigeria’s economic advancement and promoting unity through conviviality,” Ehindero said in a statement.

Pernod Ricard, which markets global brands including Martell, Jameson, and Absolut, has operated in Nigeria for more than a decade and views the country as a key growth market in Africa.

The company’s statement comes as Nigeria faces persistent economic headwinds, including inflationary pressures and currency volatility, yet remains attractive to multinationals seeking long-term opportunities in Africa’s largest consumer base.

Pernod Ricard Nigeria celebrates Nigeria at 65, honoring its resilience and culture while reaffirming commitment to economic growth, community empowerment, and responsible conviviality.
