In line with its continued drive to enhance service delivery and customer experience across Nigeria’s airports, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has unveiled two newly designed uniforms for its Customer Service Department.

According to an official statement released via the Authority’s verified social media handles on Thursday, October 16, 2025, the unveiling took place during the commemoration of the 2025 Customer Service Week, celebrated globally under the theme “Mission Possible.”

The event, held at FAAN headquarters, was led by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, who officially presented the new uniforms as part of Management’s ongoing efforts to rejuvenate the Customer Service Department and elevate the airport experience for passengers and visitors nationwide.

The newly introduced uniforms comprise a classic two-piece grey suit designed to project professionalism, confidence, and uniformity among FAAN’s customer service officers. In addition, vibrant Adire tops, crafted from locally made fabric, were also launched for use on select days — an initiative that underscores FAAN’s commitment to promoting Made-in-Nigeria products and supporting local artisans.

Mrs. Kuku noted that the new uniforms were carefully designed to ensure easy identification of customer service officers within the bustling airport environment, allowing passengers to recognize and approach them without confusion. She emphasized that the move reflects FAAN’s dedication to visibility, professionalism, and improved customer interaction across all its service touchpoints.

“Our goal is to create a consistent, friendly, and professional image for FAAN’s customer service officers. These uniforms will not only distinguish them from other service providers within the airports but will also reinforce our culture of excellence and accountability in customer engagement,”
Mrs. Kuku stated during the unveiling ceremony.

The introduction of the Adire-themed attire also adds a touch of cultural pride to the organization’s brand identity. It aligns with the Federal Government’s policy on local content promotion, showcasing FAAN’s support for Nigerian creativity and craftsmanship.

Industry observers have described the initiative as a visible symbol of FAAN’s transformation agenda — one that merges functionality, national identity, and global service standards. In recent months, FAAN Management has launched a series of reforms aimed at improving passenger satisfaction, airport ambience, and stakeholder relations.

As reflected in the statement shared on FAAN’s social media pages, the Authority reaffirmed that the 2025 Customer Service Week celebration was not just a moment of appreciation but a renewed commitment to achieving excellence and innovation in customer relations.

The event also served as a platform for reflection — reminding both staff and passengers that despite the operational challenges in the aviation sector, delivering quality service remains central to FAAN’s mission.

With the unveiling of the new uniforms, FAAN’s Customer Service Department now stands as a visible emblem of progress, representing professionalism, hospitality, and national pride — qualities that define the modern Nigerian airport experience.
