It was more than a courtesy call — it was a heartfelt homecoming steeped in tradition, respect, and pride. On Friday, October 31, 2025, the leadership of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) PLC took a thoughtful pause from its Board & Management Retreat at Iye-Ile Court, Ode-Aye, Ondo State, to pay homage to His Royal Majesty, Oba William Akinmusayo Akinlade, the Halu of Aye Kingdom.
The palace grounds came alive with color and dignity as Dr. Seinde Oladapo Fadeni, NAHCO’s Board Chairman — himself an illustrious son of Ode-Aye — led his team to the royal courtyard. For Dr. Fadeni, it was not just a symbolic visit; it was a reconnection with his roots and a reaffirmation of the values that continue to shape his leadership philosophy — humility, unity, and service.
Oba Akinlade, flanked by members of his Royal Council, received the delegation with open arms and royal grace. In his warm remarks, the monarch commended the NAHCO leadership for their commitment to excellence and prayed fervently for the company’s sustained success. His words resonated deeply, emphasizing that true progress is achieved when modern enterprise remains anchored in cultural values and community goodwill.
The NAHCO delegation reflected the strength and depth of the company’s leadership. Present alongside Dr. Fadeni were Mr. Akinwumi Fanimokun (Vice Chairman), Mr. Olumuyiwa Olumekun (GMD/CEO), Mr. Tajudeen Shobayo, Mr. Salman Taofeeq, and Prof. Enyinna Okpara. Also part of the team were Directors Mrs. Abimbola Adebakin, Mr. Abdulhamid Aliyu, Rev. Victor Olaiya, Mrs. Adebisi Bakare, and the Company Secretary, Mr. Bello Abdullahi.
Group Executive Directors Dr. Olusola Obabori and Prince Saheed Lasisi joined the visit, accompanied by senior management executives including Mr. Adeoye Emiloju (Chief Financial Officer), Mr. Didier Steullet (Chief Operating Officer), and Mr. M. I. Uddin (Chief Security Officer).
As the delegation departed the palace, there was a shared sense of fulfillment — a reminder that corporate success is not measured only in financial results but also in the bonds a company builds with its communities. For NAHCO, the visit underscored its belief that respecting tradition is an essential pillar of sustainable progress.
In the words of a senior NAHCO official, “When we honor our roots, we strengthen our wings.”
The royal visit at Ode-Aye will long be remembered not only as a highlight of the company’s 2025 retreat but also as a reaffirmation of NAHCO’s role as a bridge between modern industry and enduring heritage.
In a royal homecoming, NAHCO PLC Board led by Chairman Dr. Seinde Fadeni visits Oba William Akinmusayo Akinlade, the Halu of Aye Kingdom, during its retreat in Ode-Aye, Ondo State — reaffirming ties between corporate leadership and traditional heritage.
