The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, on Monday, November 4, 2025, met with ground handling companies operating across all FAAN-managed airports to assess their preparedness for the upcoming festive travel season.
The strategic session, held at FAAN headquarters, focused on evaluating operational readiness, manpower capacity, and equipment efficiency in anticipation of the heavy passenger traffic expected in December. The move, according to Mrs. Kuku, is part of FAAN’s proactive measures to ensure seamless, safe, and efficient airport operations across the country during the end-of-year rush.
Mrs. Kuku reiterated FAAN’s commitment to operational excellence and stakeholder collaboration as the backbone of sustainable service delivery in the aviation sector. She urged the ground handling companies to maintain the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service throughout the festive period.
“This engagement is designed to align all stakeholders towards a common goal — delivering a seamless and safe airport experience for passengers during the high-traffic season and beyond,” Kuku stated. “We are determined to maintain efficiency and uphold FAAN’s reputation for excellence.”
