Mrs. Okoye Urges Widows to Stay Faithful and Trust in God for Better Treatment from Society

The founder of Jedidiah Divine Home Of Love (JEDLOF), Dr (Mrs) Ebele Okoye has advised widows in the country to always live a righteous life to attract  favour from God.

Mrs Okoye, while admonishing widows at the occasion marking her birthday celebration at the Ikeja GRA, urged widows and other partners that graced the occasion to remain dedicated and put their trust in God in other to get better treatment from people.

The JEDLOF boss stated that the cash gift presented to the widows was to support them for their upkeep in this period of world economic hardship

According to Mrs Okoye, she cannot be overwhelmed with the gesture of giving to the less privileged as she was called by God to assist widows, stressing, that the program has been divined by God.

She said widow hood was never a suicide but a time to be dedicated to God and seek God’s face diligently.

She urged them to be faithful and dedicated, avoiding jumping from one man to the other as the right man will come at the right time when they planned to remarry

“Widowhood is not an easy thing, I have been a widow for 25 years, the only way is to live a righteous life but avoid moving from one man to another, if you put your trust on God, the little you have will multiply”

She disclosed that JEDLOF was currently preparing for the last out reach of the third quarter of the year schedule for Enugu state.


According to Mrs Okoye, the event which will take place in December, is an annual event to climax activities of JEDLOF where various food items ranging from rice to toiletries and cash gifts will be distributed to the less priviledged and widows.

Mrs Okoye, remarked that the last was medical outreach in June 2025 where many people were examined of various diseases and treated by a team of medical professionals free of charge.

According to her, it has not been easy raising funds all alone for the foundation to cater for the widows and others, adding that there was no help from any organisation despite soliciting for assistance.

Mrs Okoye, said she will not be detered by the non response from organisation and well meaning individuals

she further appealed to them not to relent but to partner JEDLOF for the upliftment of the less privileged

Over 30 widows, JEDLOF partners and well wishers attended the birthday party of Mrs Okoye where cash was distributed to them.
