The Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks (ACAMB) has announced a major rebrand, unveiling a new identity that reflects its expanded mandate within Nigeria’s financial communication ecosystem. The body will now operate as the Association of Corporate Communication and Marketing Professionals in Banks—maintaining its well-known acronym, ACAMB.

The rebranding was officially presented during ACAMB’s 2025 annual retreat held from November 6 to 9 in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Established as a non-profit platform to strengthen collaboration among Corporate Affairs, Marketing Communication, and Public Relations executives in the banking industry, ACAMB said the refreshed identity captures the broader responsibilities of modern financial communicators.

A Strategic Evolution, Not Just a New Name

In his address at the retreat’s gala night, ACAMB President Rasheed Bolarinwa emphasized that the new identity marks a strategic shift for the association.

“This rebrand is more than a name change,” he said. “It symbolises an expansion of our mandate—embracing marketing, stakeholder engagement, sustainability, and reputation management alongside corporate communication.”

According to him, ACAMB’s evolution is a natural reflection of what the organisation has already become: a coalition of innovators shaping narratives, influencing public trust, and connecting banks with the pulse of the Nigerian people.

“We are no longer just communication officers,” Bolarinwa added. “We are bridge-builders, storytellers, and reputation stewards ensuring the industry’s impact is seen, felt, and understood.”

Strengthening Structure for Today’s Communication Landscape

As part of the repositioning efforts, ACAMB also inaugurated its Board of Trustees and ratified an updated constitution designed to enhance its institutional effectiveness.

Bolarinwa described the reforms as “a sign of institutional maturity and a forward-looking vision needed to navigate the realities of the modern communications and marketing environment.”

A New Chapter for ACAMB and the Banking Sector

Reflecting on the retreat, Bolarinwa noted that the gathering would be remembered as the moment ACAMB transitioned into a stronger and more future-ready organisation.

“This retreat represents the rebirth of a bolder and more visionary ACAMB—one committed to advancing inclusion, strengthening brand resilience, and shaping a positive narrative for Nigeria’s banking industry and wider economy,” he said.

With the new identity, ACAMB says it is positioning itself as a central force in enhancing trust, reputation, and communication excellence across Nigeria’s financial services sector.
