The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to transparency, professionalism, and full compliance with statutory guidelines in all human resource and administrative processes. The assurance comes amid renewed public interest in recruitment and staff progression practices within the Authority.

In a statement issued by the Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire, FAAN emphasized that all recruitment, placement, and career advancement procedures are strictly guided by established regulations designed to promote fairness, competence, and organizational efficiency.

According to Agbebire, FAAN maintains a longstanding culture of due process and will not depart from frameworks that guarantee equity and meritocracy across every level of its workforce.

To further fortify this commitment, the FAAN Managing Director has approved a fresh internal review of certain employment-related concerns recently brought to management’s attention. The review, he noted, is aimed at strengthening clarity, ensuring uniform application of existing policies, and boosting staff confidence in the Authority’s career progression systems.

Agbebire explained that no staff member has ever been compelled to suppress or alter their qualifications at any stage of the recruitment process. He stressed that all employment procedures are based strictly on advertised vacancies, clearly stated requirements, and voluntary submissions by applicants.

He added that where policy reviews become necessary, FAAN implements them responsibly and in alignment with public service rules.

Reiterating its ethics-driven posture, the Authority declared its zero-tolerance stance on all forms of workplace misconduct, including harassment, intimidation, and abuse of office. FAAN affirmed that its reporting, investigation, and disciplinary systems remain active, confidential, and rigorously enforced to protect the dignity and wellbeing of every employee.

The Authority highlighted its continued commitment to fostering a work environment that rewards integrity, respects established hierarchy, enables career growth, and upholds the highest standards of professionalism. This applies across critical operational departments such as Aviation Security (AVSEC), Aviation Rescue and Firefighting Services (ARFFS), and others.

FAAN expressed appreciation for the dedication of its workforce and encouraged staff to maintain cooperation, open dialogue, and strict adherence to due process as the Authority accelerates its drive toward becoming a world-class airport service provider.
