The Chairman, Board of Directors of NAHCO Plc, Dr. Seinde Oladapo Fadeni, has been honoured with the Nigerian Aviation Centenary Award, a recognition of his long-standing contributions to the growth and transformation of the country’s aviation sector.
The award, presented on Monday, December 1, 2025, formed part of activities organised by the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development to commemorate 100 years of aviation in Nigeria. It was held at the African Hall of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference (BATIC) Centre, Abuja.
Dr. Fadeni’s award was received on his behalf by the GMD/CEO of NAHCO Plc, Mr. Olumuyiwa Olumekun, who described the recognition as a deserved honour for a leader whose influence continues to shape operations and reforms within the aviation value chain.
In the nomination letter signed by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo (SAN), Dr. Fadeni was commended as a distinguished industry veteran whose contributions reflect “the spirit of resilience and commitment that has propelled the industry from its earliest beginnings to the modern era.”
Dr. Fadeni has played a central role in repositioning NAHCO as a leading ground-handling and logistics services provider across multiple Nigerian airports. Under his leadership, the company has expanded operational capacity, strengthened safety compliance, and deepened its investment in technology-driven solutions.
His recognition, industry analysts say, underscores the critical impact of visionary leadership on the sector’s evolution—particularly as Nigeria looks ahead to the next century of aviation development. The award also highlights the commitment of the Ministry and the Aviation Roundtable (ART) to celebrate industry icons whose work has strengthened Nigeria’s global aviation reputation.
With this honour, Dr. Fadeni joins the ranks of aviation legends whose legacies continue to influence policy, drive innovation, and inspire the next generation of professionals in the Nigerian aviation ecosystem.
