NCDMB Wins Best Ease of Doing Business Agency for Fourth Straight Year at PEBEC Awards

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has reaffirmed its leadership in public-sector efficiency by clinching the top position in Nigeria’s Ease of Doing Business ranking for the fourth consecutive year. The Board emerged winner of the 2025 Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Transparency and Efficiency Champion Award, maintaining its dominance from 2022 through 2025.

The award was presented on December 2, 2025, at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, during the PEBEC Awards and Gala Night chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima. The event celebrated high-performing government agencies driving reforms and improving the country’s business climate.

NCDMB’s Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, was represented by the Acting Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr. Omomehin Ajimijaye, who received the award on behalf of the Board. Ajimijaye emphasized NCDMB’s alignment with key policy reforms, its commitment to transparency, and the Board’s sustained focus on efficiency and service quality.

He credited the achievement to strong institutional teamwork, digital process automation, and consistent engagement with industry stakeholders. “This recognition reflects our dedication to operational excellence and our continuous drive to remove bottlenecks in service delivery,” he stated.

PEBEC Director General, Princess Zarah Audu, applauded the Board for adopting automated systems that reduce human interference and accelerate service timelines. She encouraged other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to emulate NCDMB’s approach to process optimisation.

In addition to the top award, NCDMB also received the Reform Champion Award, presented to Engr. Cityfaith Baribor Zorasi for his outstanding performance as the Board’s liaison to PEBEC.

NCDMB reiterated its commitment to strengthening service delivery, driving local industry participation under the NOGICD Act of 2010, and raising institutional standards in the years ahead. The Board also expressed appreciation to PEBEC for the recognition and commended its workforce for their sustained dedication and professionalism.
