Edo’s transport chief scouting Lagos skies to revamp the state’s aviation future.

In a bid to transform the aviation sector of Edo state, the commissioner for transport in the state, Hon Uwuilekhur Saturday Idehen, has embarked on tour of airline’s  and aviation training facilities in Lagos.

 

The visit was to allow the commissioner for transport familiarise himself with  airlines and aviation training facilities in Lagos to explore avenues for talks on human capacity building for indigenes of Edo state.

Among those facilities visited was 7Star Global Hangar where the commissioner  Idehen had discussion on apprenticeship programs for aircraft technicians and mechanics in batches for Edo indigenes.

The gesture is further aimed at developing the aviation sector in Edo state, which is one of the agenda of Senator Monday Okpebholo in making Edo state a hub.

Governor Monday Okpebholo’s shine agenda, includes transportation infrastructure as he is positioning the state towards a glitchless travel through the air, rail, water and on the land with the reactivation of the moribund New Edo line and Edo city transport service.
