Sterling Bank has once again its leadership in driving Nigeria’s green economy with the landmark event, “BEYOND THE GRID: Unblocking New Frontiers in Renewable Energy”, held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. Tagged as the Renewable Energy Colloquium 2025, the event convened top policymakers, investors, innovators, and thought leaders to explore actionable solutions for advancing renewable energy in Nigeria.

A highlight of the colloquium was the Panel anchored by Mr Ayo Ademilua, President of the Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria (REAN), who emphasized that access to clean energy must be reliable, affordable, and sustainably available to all users. Ademilua stressed that the nation’s energy transition requires a holistic approach that removes systemic barriers, encourages investment, and ensures that innovative technologies reach communities across Nigeria.

Sterling Bank showcased its ongoing commitment to sustainability through initiatives aimed at financing renewable energy projects, promoting green technology adoption, and supporting climate-smart infrastructure development.
