NAHCO Strengthens Aviation Security Ties as DSS MMIA Director Visits Lagos Headquarters

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO Plc) on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, reaffirmed its commitment to robust aviation security and operational efficiency as it hosted the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Mrs. Agnes Ayodele, on a courtesy visit to its Lagos Head Office.

Receiving the DSS delegation, NAHCO’s Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development, Prince Saheed Lasisi, emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between both organisations in safeguarding airport operations and critical aviation infrastructure. He noted that security remains a cornerstone of efficient ground handling and cargo services, stressing that NAHCO values the DSS as a strategic partner in maintaining safety across the aviation value chain.

According to Prince Lasisi, NAHCO will continue to work closely with the DSS and other security agencies to ensure seamless operations that align with national security objectives and international aviation standards. He added that proactive engagement and information sharing are vital to sustaining confidence in Nigeria’s aviation ecosystem.

Mrs. Ayodele commended NAHCO for its professionalism and consistent support for security operations at MMIA, noting that strong public-private collaboration is essential for addressing emerging security challenges within the aviation sector.

The DSS Director was accompanied by the Deputy Director, Mr. Mohammed Suleiman; Head of Administrative Services, Mrs. Abiodun Ibikunle; and Mr. Abubakar Chubado.

Also present during the visit were NAHCO officials, including the General Manager, External Affairs, Mr. Bashir Gulma; Cargo Services Manager, Mr. Oluwole Olalandu; Security Services Manager, Col. Olumide Kolajo (Rtd.); Business Development Manager, Mr. Samson Jama; and Security Supervisor, Mr. Buba Adamu.

The visit further strengthened the working relationship between NAHCO and the DSS, reinforcing their shared commitment to enhancing aviation security, operational resilience, and service excellence at Nigeria’s busiest international airport.
