Her husband, Nze Alobueze C. Orah, was also honoured with the title Ichie Okokpa I, marking a historic and rare recognition for the couple.

The two-day ceremony, held on January 6 and 7, 2026, was presided over by His Royal Majesty, Engr. Austin Emelobe, Igwe Eze Okpoko II, the monarch of Oba Kingdom. The titles were conferred to celebrate the couple’s contributions to national development, community service, and leadership excellence.

Lolo Nmaluluno, translated as “beauty nurtured by good upbringing,” is bestowed only on women of exceptional character and influence.

“Mrs. Orah exemplifies leadership rooted in integrity, dedication, and impact,” Ichie Ifedinoba noted.

Reacting to the historic event, Celestine Ukpong, a renowned economist, described the recognition as symbolic of the role of ethical leadership in nation-building. “Honours like this remind us that public service is not just about policy execution but about tangible contributions to society. Mrs. Orah’s elevation is a reflection of dedication that transcends the workplace and impacts communities positively,” he said.

Peter Adebayo, FCA, a respected chartered accountant and governance expert, emphasized the wider societal value of the recognition. “When leaders like Mrs. Orah are publicly acknowledged, it reinforces the standards of excellence, accountability, and service. Such accolades encourage younger professionals to aspire not only to career growth but also to societal contribution,” Adebayo noted.

Visibly moved, Mrs. Orah described the honour as both a personal milestone and a renewed call to service. “This recognition is not only for me but also for my family, colleagues at FAAN, and mentors who have shaped my journey. I dedicate these titles to continued community development, empowerment, and unity,” she said.

FAAN management, represented by Dr. Luqman Emiola Olatunbosun, Director of Human Resources and Administration, praised the honour as a testament to her exemplary professionalism, integrity, and leadership.

The ceremony concluded with colourful cultural displays, traditional blessings, and tributes from dignitaries, FAAN officials, and community leaders.
