Guinness Nigeria has announced the appointment of Olukemi Ogunsakin as its new Head of Corporate Communications, Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), in a move aimed at strengthening the company’s reputation management, stakeholder engagement and sustainability agenda.
The company said Ogunsakin brings over 14 years of professional experience across corporate communications, sustainability and corporate affairs, with a proven track record in managing complex stakeholder relationships and delivering impact-driven sustainability programmes.
According to Guinness Nigeria, her expertise spans strategic communications, reputation management, crisis communications and sustainability delivery, positioning her to support the company’s evolving business priorities in an increasingly demanding corporate environment.
The appointment comes at a time when businesses in Nigeria’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector are under growing pressure to demonstrate transparency, social responsibility and environmental stewardship. By integrating communications, sustainability and CSR under a single leadership structure, Guinness Nigeria aims to ensure stronger alignment between its corporate narrative and responsible business practices.
Industry analysts note that Ogunsakin’s role will be critical in driving initiatives that resonate with key stakeholders, including regulators, consumers, host communities and employees, while aligning local sustainability efforts with Diageo’s global environmental, social and governance (ESG) framework.
Guinness Nigeria expressed confidence that her leadership will further enhance the company’s standing as a responsible corporate citizen and an employer of choice, while supporting long-term value creation for shareholders and communities.
Guinness Nigeria appoints Olukemi Ogunsakin as Head of Corporate Communications, Sustainability and CSR, reinforcing its commitment to stakeholder engagement, ESG leadership and responsible business growth in Nigeria.
