In a move reinforcing its commitment to education and youth development, Fidelity Bank Plc has completed the renovation of the administrative building at Community Secondary School, Enugwuabo Ufuma, in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The one-storey administrative block, previously in a dilapidated state, underwent comprehensive refurbishment under Fidelity Bank’s community-focused initiatives aimed at addressing infrastructural challenges in schools. The renovated facility was officially handed over to the school community in a ceremony attended by government representatives, local leaders, and other stakeholders.
Dr. Nosa Orumwense, Regional Head of Fidelity Bank Plc, Awka, highlighted the broader impact of the project.
“This is more than just a building; it is an investment in opportunity, progress, and the future of our youth. By improving the school’s infrastructure, we provide students and teachers with an environment that encourages learning, discipline, and pride,”
Dr. Orumwense said.
Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Commissioner for Education and representative of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, commended Fidelity Bank for its intervention.
“Corporate social responsibility reflects the humanity of an organization. Fidelity Bank’s support for this school demonstrates compassion and a genuine commitment to changing lives. The school, which was previously on the emergency renovation list due to unsafe structures, now stands as a symbol of hope and progress for students and teachers alike,” she said.
Professor Chuma-Udeh also expressed gratitude on behalf of the state government, noting that Fidelity Bank’s intervention exemplifies the essence of corporate social responsibility—making tangible contributions that strengthen communities and improve lives.
