Nigerian Breweries Plc, Nigeria’s foremost brewing company and a member of the HEINEKEN Group, has celebrated excellence across its trade network at the 2025 Distributor Awards Night held at Eko Hotel and Suites.
Themed “Unlocking Growth Together – Aligned, Focused, and Faster,” the high-profile ceremony brought together distributors, transport partners, senior executives, and key stakeholders in recognition of the vital role played by trade partners in sustaining business growth amid economic headwinds and evolving market dynamics.
Celebrating Performance and Partnership
The annual awards spotlighted exceptional achievements in revenue generation, route-to-market execution, logistics efficiency, and operational excellence during the 2025 financial year.
Emerging as National Revenue Champion was MacDen Communications Limited, a performance that underscored its dominance in market expansion and sales delivery. Ensik Global Ventures and Anaebo Global Services Limited followed closely as first and second runners-up, respectively.
In the logistics category, Cobil Logistique Integree Limited clinched the Best Transporter Award, demonstrating outstanding efficiency and reliability in distribution support. AOP Logistics Ltd secured the first runner-up position, while A.G. Leventis (Nigeria) PLC was named second runner-up. Several other distributors and transport companies were recognised across various performance categories.
Leadership Emphasises Unity and Growth
Delivering the keynote address, the Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Thibaut Boidin, stressed that sustainable growth is rooted in collaboration and shared purpose.
“As one team and one family, we recognise that growth is never achieved in isolation. It is unlocked through trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence. Tonight, we celebrate the distributors and transportation partners who have navigated challenges with us and delivered exceptional results. We are proud of what we have accomplished together and excited about the journey ahead,” he stated.
Boidin highlighted that in a year marked by macroeconomic pressures, supply chain disruptions, and shifting consumer behavior, the company’s ability to maintain strong market presence was largely due to disciplined execution and resilience across its trade network.
Strategic Alignment in a Challenging Economy
Also speaking at the event, Sales Director Emmanuel Oriakhi explained that the theme of the awards encapsulates the company’s strategic direction.
“Unlocking Growth Together is more than a theme – it reflects how we operate: aligned in purpose, focused on execution, and moving faster to capture opportunities. Despite economic pressures and shifting consumer dynamics, our partners ensured product availability, strong brand visibility, and disciplined execution across markets.”
Industry analysts present at the event noted that the awards signal Nigerian Breweries’ broader strategy of deepening channel partnerships to drive sustainable volume growth and strengthen route-to-market capabilities nationwide.
Awardees Express Commitment
Speaking on behalf of the award recipients, Dennis Okorie, Managing Director of MacDen Communications Limited, described the recognition as both an honour and a motivation.
“This recognition validates our efforts and motivates us to aim even higher. We remain committed to deepening collaboration and delivering stronger results in the coming year.”
Rewards and Celebration
Beyond recognition, the company rewarded top-performing partners with substantial incentives, including cash prizes worth millions of naira, a 12-pallet truck, a Foto pickup van, fuel dispensers, industrial equipment, solar inverters, consumer electronics, and premium products from the company’s portfolio.
The evening combined business celebration with entertainment, as comedian FunnyBone anchored the ceremony, while music stars 2Face Idibia and Flavour delivered live performances that added a festive touch to the corporate gathering.
