€304 million invested in food & packaging technology in 2023—making Nigeria Africa’s second-largest investor, behind South Africa (€398 million).
Food production value surged 39.6% from €26 billion in 2016 to €36.3 billion in 2020, with a projected 48% increase between 2021 and 2024 (€42.3 billion to €62.6 billion).
€134 million invested in plastics technology in 2023, recording an annual growth rate of 13.9% (2016–2023).
€92 million in printing & paper processing technology imports (2022), with a 17% annual growth rate, positioning Nigeria as Sub-Saharan Africa’s second-largest investor.
€139 million in packaging technology investment (2023), ranking Nigeria fourth in Africa, after South Africa (€194 million), Algeria (€161 million), and Egypt (€145 million).
