The Pan-African Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has released the April 2025 edition of its News Bulletin, reaffirming its central role in driving Africa’s industrial transformation in alignment with the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
Led by Interim President, Engr. Mansur Ahmed, and Interim Co-Secretary, Segun Ajayi-Kadir, mni, PAMA is amplifying its mission as the continental voice of manufacturers. The Association continues to consolidate its position as a crucial stakeholder in shaping policies and initiatives that stimulate sustainable industrial growth across Africa.
“PAMA was born from a collective vision at the 2018 Intra-African Trade Fair in Cairo,” said Engr. Ahmed. “Since then, we have worked tirelessly to give manufacturers a unified voice under a recognized Pan-African platform.”
As a Continental Business Membership Organization, PAMA was formally midwifed by and enjoys full recognition from the African Union Commission. Its primary mandate is to represent, protect, and promote the interests of manufacturers across all African nations. The Association achieves this through strategic partnerships, robust advocacy, and consistent dialogue with governments, regional economic communities, and private sector leaders.
According to Co-Secretary Segun Ajayi-Kadir, “The April 2025 Bulletin showcases the work we’ve done and the opportunities ahead. Manufacturers are the engine of Africa’s economic future, and PAMA is the fuel that drives that engine forward.”
The latest bulletin outlines recent engagements, success stories, and collaborative efforts designed to enhance intra-African trade, develop regional value chains, and address barriers to manufacturing competitiveness. It also highlights the association’s push for harmonized policies and stronger supply chains across the continent.
As Africa pushes forward with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), PAMA’s role is more critical than ever. With a clear focus on integration, innovation, and inclusive industrialization, PAMA is solidifying its place as a catalyst for Africa’s industrial renaissance.
