FCAIB Provost Visits New Board Chair, Pledges Strategic Collaboration

In a move to solidify leadership synergy and chart a new course for institutional growth, the Provost of the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAIB), Prof. Jonathan Atungwu, has paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Chairman of the College Board, Honourable Tajudeen Lawal SOOKO.

The visit, which took place at Hon. SOOKO’s residence in Ile-Ife, served as both a congratulatory gesture and a reaffirmation of the College Management’s readiness to work closely with the new board leadership.

Prof. Atungwu described SOOKO’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his leadership acumen and public service record. He expressed optimism that the College would experience renewed growth under SOOKO’s guidance.

“This visit is to congratulate you and also reaffirm our commitment to working in close partnership with your office for the betterment of FCAIB,” the Provost said. “We believe your leadership will usher in a new era of development for the College.”

In his response, Hon. SOOKO thanked the Provost and his team for the familiarisation visit and assured them of his unwavering support. He pledged to use his experience and network to drive the institution forward.

“I am honoured to serve in this capacity and fully committed to the progress of FCAIB,” he said. “Together, we will move the College to greater heights.”Prof. Atungwu was accompanied by senior members of the College Management, including the Deputy Provost (Administration), Engr. (Dr) Adefoye Adejumo; Head of Bursary, Mrs. Theresa Adeoye; and Head of Public Relations, Mr. Samuel Abolarin.
