PTAD Wraps Up December 2025 Pension Payments Nationwide

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has announced the successful completion of pension payments for the month of December 2025, bringing relief to thousands of retirees across the country under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS).

In an official notice through it’s social media handling, PTAD confirmed that pensioners from the Civil Service, Nigeria Police Force, Parastatals, Defunct and Transferred Agencies, Tertiary Education and Health Institutions, as well as the Nigeria Customs Service, Immigration Service and Prisons Service, have all been captured in the December 2025 payment cycle.

The Directorate disclosed that all pensions were remitted through the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and paid directly into the individual bank accounts of pensioners. PTAD emphasised that once payments are released by the CBN, the timing of credits to beneficiaries depends solely on their respective banks, over which the Directorate has no control.

“PTAD has finalised pension payment for the month of December 2025 for all DBS pensioners. Pension payments are remitted through the CBN directly into the individual bank accounts of pensioners,” the statement said.

Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, accountability and prompt pension administration, PTAD noted that the completion of the December payments underscores the Federal Government’s resolve to prioritise the welfare of retirees, particularly during the festive season when financial obligations are typically higher.
PTAD advised pensioners who may experience delays, non-payment or discrepancies to promptly reach out through its established complaint resolution channels.
