The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Bashir Bayo Ojulari, has praised the company’s workforce for their dedication, resilience and collective spirit throughout 2025, describing the year as a defining chapter in the organisation’s ongoing transformation.

In a message shared via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, @BBOjulari, Ojulari disclosed that he recently took time to walk through the NNPC Towers, visiting offices and engaging directly with staff—particularly junior employees—to personally express his gratitude for their contributions over the past year.

According to the NNPC boss, 2025 presented both challenges and notable achievements, but the ability of staff to support one another and remain focused on shared goals underscored the strength of the organisation.

“2025 was a testament to our collective strength,” Ojulari said. “We faced challenges, celebrated meaningful wins, and, most importantly, leaned on and lifted each other up. Day after day, your talent, dedication and resilience continue to inspire me.”

He urged employees to reflect on their individual roles in the company’s progress, emphasizing that impact is not limited to major projects or executive decisions. Ojulari noted that improvements in processes, innovation at all levels and even maintaining a clean and inspiring work environment contribute significantly to institutional success.

“Whether you led a major project, improved a process, or helped maintain a clean and inspiring workspace—you’ve made a real impact,” he said, encouraging staff to take pride in their accomplishments.

Ojulari also highlighted the importance of rest and well-being, calling on employees to use the holiday period to disconnect from work, recharge and spend quality time with their families and loved ones.

“My warmest wish for you is a restful and joyful holiday,” he added. “Please take this time to truly disconnect, recharge and enjoy moments with loved ones. You have absolutely earned it.”

Reaffirming his confidence in the workforce, Ojulari described NNPC Limited as a special institution defined by the commitment and professionalism of its people. He noted that leading the organisation remains a privilege, particularly at a time when the company is navigating reforms and repositioning itself as a commercially focused, globally competitive energy company.

He concluded by wishing staff peace, good health and happiness in 2026 and beyond, expressing optimism that the collective effort demonstrated in 2025 would continue to drive progress in the years ahead.
The message has been widely seen as a morale-boosting gesture, reinforcing management’s recognition of staff contributions amid ongoing reforms and operational challenges in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

NNPC Group CEO Bashir Bayo Ojulari commends staff for resilience and teamwork in 2025, urges rest during the holidays, and expresses optimism for a stronger, more competitive NNPC in 2026.
