The Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Capt. Chris Najomo, has officially announced the approval of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Staff Conditions of Service (CoS), urging staff to show renewed dedication to their duties to ensure that Nigeria’s aviation sector remains safe, secure, economically viable, and passenger-friendly. The announcement was made on Friday during the annual NCAA New Year Prayer Session at the Authority’s Lagos Regional Office. Capt. Najomo expressed appreciation for staff efforts in the previous year, noting their significant role in advancing the NCAA’s vision and mission, the five-point agenda of the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for the aviation sector.

Highlighting the administration’s key achievements, the DGCA outlined several critical milestones, including:
Resolution of the long-standing Grade Level 14 staff stagnation;
Payment of housing and relocation allowance arrears;
Commissioning of the previously abandoned Port Harcourt and Kano Regional Offices;
Development of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Master Plan (CAMP) in collaboration with ICAO;
Launch of the Consumer Protection Portal and phase one of the DATR e-portal;
Commissioning of the Flight Data Centre in Abuja, aimed at improving aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and international credibility.

While praying for an inspiring and prosperous 2026, Capt. Najomo stressed the importance of teamwork, unity, and camaraderie between management and staff, encouraging all employees to maintain the same level of commitment that led to last year’s successes.

“Our collective spirit and dedication are essential to achieving excellence in aviation safety and service delivery. Together, we can build a globally respected, passenger-friendly aviation sector,” he said.
The DGCA’s message underscores the Authority’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, promoting staff welfare, and advancing Nigeria’s aviation standards in alignment with global best practices.
